Bad Weather

Rain or Shine – the egg hunt will continue.  The Big Egg Hunt event will be taking place at the indoor facilities of the Peterborough Wellness Centre off of Brealey Drive.  Some of the activities may be moved outdoors (weather permitting).

Parking

There are two lots available to be used at the Wellness Centre.  Overflow parking will be available through the Fleming campus.  Signs and parking attendants will be onsite to direct you as necessary.

Egg Hunt Times

BRING A BASKET for collecting eggs…

Egg hunts will be taking place every 30 minutes in each hunt area.  We encourage families to drop in throughout the afternoon so that we can accommodate everyone over a 4 hour period instead of all at once (1pm to 5pm).  We will be dividing the eggs by time slot to ensure that they last the entire event.

** There will be two specific hunt areas designated by age and strictly enforced for safety.

We will be limiting the number of children participating in each egg hunt to under 100 to ensure that every child has an equal opportunity to get lots of eggs and to provide a safer, more organized experience.  All of our egg hunts will take place inside enclosed spaces with one entrance and one exit.  Children 10 and under will be welcome to participate in one egg hunt each – after which they will receive a stamp on their hand.

** Our volunteers will be at the exits from the egg hunt areas to ensure every child leaves with eggs.

Cookie Decorating

Will be taking place in the meeting rooms throughout the afternoon.  Stop by with your children and decorate some Easter egg cookies.  Cookies generously provided by Stickling’s Bakery.

Bring your camera – The Easter Bunny will be making appearances at the top of every hour and will be available for pictures.  He will also be handing out free bunny tooth whistles.

Socks

Some of our events will be taking place inside the gymnasiums. Children and adults will be required to remove their shoes to protect the flooring.  Bring some cozy socks for indoor use.

Jumping Castles

Will be available inside the large gymnasium and possibly outdoors (weather permitting).  We ask that parents stay with their children as they wait their turn to use the equipment.
